I recently graduated from the University of Texas double majoring in History and Biology. I have worked as a biology teacher for a freshman year biology course. My specialty was marine biology, and I have lots of experience in field and laboratory research, which has influenced my love for science. I have experience tutoring former classmates and some clients. I find that because of class sizes and lack of time, some students are not getting the proper instruction needed to succeed. The way public schools are set up they focus on excelency on state tests, and don't build up on needed stepping stones for the next years levels. Biology and the life sciences are as interesting to me now as when I was in the fifth grade. My education is in microbiology which I have applied in the agrigricultural industry, diabetes research, and pharmaceutical diagnostics.
