Throughout college I tutored elementary students for a tutoring company that worked with students in an urban district in Pennsylvania. My tutoring experiences are in K-1 and grade 3. I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2013 with a degree in elementary education. I moved to North Carolina from Pennsylvania in 2013 to pursue my career in teaching. My first year in North Carolina I taught pre-k in a public school for ages 4-5. I am currently a teacher in Edgecombe county in North Carolina teaching fourth grade reading/language arts.
I have had intensive training with multiple intelligence (Kagan structures) with my current employer. I use these structures during every lesson. I took votech business class in high school for three years. I am advanced in all of the microsoft office applications. I also have taken two years of accounting. I have also volunteered at a school for the mentally handicapped. We would read to them and teach them to write. We also took them on little outings like the zoo and the beach.
