A Little Bit About Me...

As an Ivy league graduate, I was driven to acheive a high level of excellence in education. I have earned a bachelor degree in education and masters degree in education with a major in mathematics. I have also worked in the business field and am able to teach students today how to apply mathematics in the real world. Recently I have been teaching as a substitute teacher in 3 counties and I have been doing alot of tutoring as well.
I am certified to teach secondary mathematics and social studies by the state of OHIO. I also enjoy teaching college students and tutoring on a weekly basis. I enjoy teaching at a high school level or above. I am very hands on. I am a bit of a story teller - rearranging the circumstances of the problem into an issue more easily related to by the student. I am very patient and relaxed - there are very few people who have a lower stress level than I do.
At MSU, I first worked as a Supplemental Instructor and then became a Graduate Assistant (before I even earned my Bachelor's degree) in the School of Business. I also worked in the math department as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant. I have taught business, accounting and math classes at the college level when instructor was absent. Accounting is by far my strong suit, followed by Excel, Economics and Math, however I do not use high-level math often, although I got A's in everything throughout college.

I recently received my Business degree from Ohio University. This degree enabled me to learn a wide variety of skills relevant to a number of industries today. I enhanced my grammatical skills due to the various projects and papers I had to complete while working towards my degree. Due to my enrollment in Post Secondary at Kent State University, I was able to graduate in three years.
