I recieved an Associates in Applied Science for Criminal justice at KCKCC. While studying at Kansas state, I was enrolled in the Chemistry major, completing Chemistry and Calculus 1 and 2. I have also recieved many gold medal competition awards in Individual as well as group singing competition. I have extensive experience in the field of Business Management particularly in Accounting. I graduated from Rockhurst University, a Jesuit University well known for its business graduates. I have owned my own business and worked as an independent contractor for the last six years in the Kansas City area. I have spent time volunteering my tutoring services at the Kansas City Public Library. I have also volunteered for CAPA and currently sit on the board of directors for KCFDC as the treasurer.
I have two children of my own and understand that all people learn in their own way. I have proven success with helping children find the way to learn that works best for them. I participated in ROTC and majored in Math and Physics at the University of Colorado. After college, I joined the Air Force and worked in the airfield operations career field. After two years, I was chosen to become an instructor, where I fell in love with teaching. After separating from the military, I substitute taught for a year, primarily focusing on high school math. In 2007, I moved to Las Vegas, and I worked for a Tutoring Club. I taught math and my students ranged in age from 8 years through adult.
