I like to tell people that i did not choose teaching; rather I believe it chose me. I have always worked with children that were struggling whether it was socially or academically. I was typically working with what are known as the "at risk" students. As an undergraduate at UConn, I pursued a number of fields from computer science to communications and philosophy, giving me a wide range of experience in a multitude of subject areas.
