I am a professional tutor and teacher with many years of experience with children one-on-one, in small groups, and with a whole classroom. As a Reading Specialist, I have advanced training in literacy and am licensed to teach in all related areas from grades K - 12 by the Ohio Department of Education. As an Elementary teacher, I am also trained and experienced at instruction of ALL subjects up to grade 8. I have special education training and experience, so I can offer tailored, individualized lessons for any student based on appropriate goals and needs. I can assess students' reading and vocabulary levels with Informal Reading Inventories and provide a written summary of strengths and challenges and suggestions for improvement. I graduated from high school in 2011 with special honors and as co-valedictorian. I am now attending the University of Mississippi where I am majoring in accountancy and minoring in business. My passion is writing, so naturally that is what I do best. Every year, I am contacted by numerous students from my high school and also my classmates at Ole Miss about proofreading their papers. I have also worked with helping students study for math classes, including but not limited to pre-algebra and algebra. My best subjects have always been English and math, but I am efficient in all high school level courses with the one exception of science, which has always been my weakness. I am also a McNair Scholar and I conduct academic and professional research. Besides being a student and a scholar, I volunteer my free time to tutor students. Because I enjoying tutoring I most of the time don't charge the students. I certainly have a passion to help students and have been tutoring for years. I am very patient.
