I am a professional tutor and teacher with many years of experience with children one-on-one, in small groups, and with a whole classroom. As a Reading Specialist, I have advanced training in literacy and am licensed to teach in all related areas from grades K - 12 by the Ohio Department of Education. As an Elementary teacher, I am also trained and experienced at instruction of ALL subjects up to grade 8. Since I have been around 15, starting with my growing nieces, it has always stood out to me how the child's brain develops. Seeing one of my nieces grasp material quicker than the other. I took up two years of Early Childhood Education in high school as a co-op class and learned a lot about the development of children. I didn't want it to stop there so I signed up for City Year. which is a nonprofit organization which focuses of students in low-income neighborhoods with a high rate of high school drop-outs and our ultimate goal is to work with children so they are on the aim line to graduate 12th grade.
