As an Engineer,I am very much driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education. I have earned a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. In addition, I am a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual trying to provide the best education and care to childrens.

This year I taught math at Community of Peace Charter school in St. Paul, MN. I taught 3 sections of 8th grade math to a very diverse student population. Approximately 25% of the students receive ESL services outside of the math class, therefore I learned the difficulties that these students have with math vocab and context situations. I dealt with the broad range of math skills by running a math workshop model during the classroom blocks. This was very successful and was well liked by the students.
I am not a 'stand and lecture' type of teacher. Students learn best by trying math skills by themselves or working with other students. I use web math applets frequently and math video clips which appeals to the digital-native students of today.
