A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a nurse for 10 years, 3 of which I taught nursing. During this time I taught Anatomy & Physiology, Pharmacology, Trauma & Emergencies, and Pathophysiology. This experience, along with 7 years of caring for patients in the hospital, has given me the ability to help students to better understand these subjects and apply them to the clinical area. I have earned a bachelor degree in nursing in a program that emphasized presentations and computer knowledge. This gives me a better understanding to help college students with projects and presentations.
I believe that each person learns differently. It is important to identify how students learn and teach them accordingly. As a graduate of a Big Ten school, and a current master’s level student, I have had many focuses in school that I can teach in the tutoring setting. I also currently work in education as a tutor and a substitute teacher, sometimes as a child care worker. Subjects: political science, biology, math through pre-calculus, accounting, English, computer technology, and a few more.
