I have tutored many kids in different fields including math, science, and English. I am a recent neuroscience graduate at Michigan State University and have quite a broad background in science so I would be able to help in many of the fields that I have listed for that as I have taken some advanced courses in that field. After graduating with a mathematics undergraduate degree in 1998, I have continued to study all areas of mathematics for the last 12 years. I have passed numerous actuarial exams that cover advanced mathematic topics as well as becoming a charterholder in the CFA Institute in 2009. I worked in the Math Department, as either a tutor or a Teaching Assistant, for the past three years. As a Teaching Assistant I led a 50 minute recitation of the material, graded materials, and kept records for my 30 students. As a tutor I helped MSU undergraduates learn key concepts and study for their upcoming exams. I worked in the Algebra room and the Calc I room. I helped out a little in the Calc II room, but I never had time, as a full time student myself, to review the material and refresh my memory, so I was much less helpful than I should have been.
