In my experience I have found that children build confidence through small successes. My first two years of teaching were as an intern with the University of New Mexico and Albuquerque Public Schools. I taught 8th grade Math full time at a large public middle school. The next year I continued the same position and added on an after school tutoring program for all grade levels.
