My comments on tutoring English ESOL : I taught ESL for 2 years at The American Fork Literacy Center(Adults) and for 5+ years I have helped ESL students improve

I have been involved with the National Program I Can READ for 2 years I helped k-3rd graders improve reading skills/ I was lucky enough to be staff(and a volunteer) for the boys and girls club for 1 year.I have helped in many local elementary schools with reading. I was the main tutor for Preschool-1st grade at the American Fork literacy Center for 6 years(I volunteered for 9)
I have always had a passion for teaching . I do not have a degree but I do have 20+ years experience. I think reading and learning should always be FUN so I try to make it fun by echo reading/funny flash cards/. All of my DAR(dream achieve read) students know that reading can take you places

That way, the knowledge will mean much more than if someone just tells them the answer, or tells the student how to do the problem.
