A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style changes to fit the requirements of the subject and the needs of my students. I find that presenting and explaining works best for language arts and history, concept teaching works best for science, and direct instruction works best for mathematics. I also take into account the learning preferences of my students: left or right brained, visual, spatial, or kinesthetic because each prefers different treatment. As a tutor I strive to teach each student in the instructional method they prefer because this leads to an increased comfort level and willingness to learn, and it also enables them to process the material faster. I really enjoy, generally speaking, helping people, but mainly help them pursue a future degree for themselves and a better life. I keep telling to my students that they should erase the "math fear" and that everything is easy if one understands it. Also, in case that they do not understand is my fought as a teacher and I am going to find a better way to explain the issue. In teaching, I try to make things easy for the students and make sure that they understood them. I believe that students should participate in the classroom.
