Since my graduation from Southeaster Oklahoma State University I substituted on all grade levels from pre-k to 12th grade for 2 years. I long-term substituted first grade from January to May of 2008 and 5th grade from April to May of 2007. I also taught 5th grade Science for the school year of 2008-2009. Substituting has enabled me to see the different learning styles and behaviors of many different types of children. I use this knowledge whenever stepping into unfamiliar classes and use it to my advantage. Experience consist of 5 years as a Para Educator. I have been teaching high school level subjects to young adults with many different levels of mental and physical disabilities. I am also state certified for the position and have been certified in CPR and First Aid. I enjoy a very interactive learning approach. I tend to use hands on and visual learning techniques. I am patient and children are my joy to work with. I am currently heading for a BS in Elementary Education while I am home schooling my children. I have home school grades 6-11. I have accomplished raising reading levels within 6 months past 2 grades past level. I have tutored and home schooled children outside my own and have been asked to assist children with reading. My shelves are currently equipped with grade K-10 curriculum and I am ready to provide part time and full time education on several subjects or one Teaching has been something I have done a great deal of my life no matter what path I was on.
