One of the reasons that I'm interested in tutoring is that, although I love working with individual students and small groups, I am less interested in classroom management, discipline and the rest of the duties that come along with substitute teaching. I love teaching students of all ages and I recognize that most students do not get the help they need during the school day, which is why it is important for them to get the help they need outside of class. Each student learns differently and it is important for me to figure out a way that works best for him or her so that I can instill the techniques that will help them throughout their entire educational career. I find that many students get frustrated when they don’t understand and if I take the time to help them at their own pace in a teaching style that works best for them school becomes less stressful.
