Everyone is an artist.

I use a personalized and 'hands-off'/demonstration style of teaching. I dislike telling a student that there is a certain method they should use, instead preferring to suggest and show how I would approach a problem or get them to approach a problem differently than how they are at that moment.
I have been teaching for the past two years in the art field and related. I taught at TIC Summer camp in the summer of 2012 how to use the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.). I am currently working with an after school program that teaches children between the ages of 6 and 12 what goes behind videogame creation.

Illustrator and visual arts instructor

Hello! I admire all things in the visual arts field and most importantly educating those that are interested or have the desire to enhance their artistic creativity. I am a recent graduate from the VCU arts program, the number one public arts school in the nation. During my time there, as well as after graduation, I have taught a variety of art class to mostly younger age children and early adolescence. It has always been a passion of mine to work with and educate young children and youth. I began tutoring at a Elementary School for a few hours when I was in high school as well as assisted other children with math and reading on an as needed basis. When I was away at undergrad school, I was able to work with local Elementary children, but it was not on a consistent basis. Once I graduated from Undergrad, I returned home and began tutoring with my church and volunteered to work with the Sr. Youth Ministry as well. During this time period I also worked with two different tutoring companies.
My teaching style varies based on the child that I am working with that time. A Little Bit About Me...

I’ve graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2009. My Biology coursework has centered on theory, problem solving and critical thinking.
