I have been working with children and adolescents in a variety of capacities for 20+ years. I truly enjoy their energy and their desire to be successful given the right encouragement and direction. For the past 4-5 years, I have been a substitute teacher and tutor for K-12, working with a culturally diverse mix, in the areas of math, English, science, health education, music, journalism, and theatre. My teaching style is one centered around positive feelings. There is a word i learned in college by the name of rapport. In order to become successful in the classroom a positive working relationship must be established. No matter what you do in life a successful partnership must be centered around a comfortable work environment. To each is to his or her own so time is the most viable option with education and learning to me.
