Algebra II Tutors & Teachers for Lessons, Instruction or Help in South Plains, TX

I have never been paid to tutor someone. My experience is limited to helping my mom with math problems, that deal with algebra based questions. I have helped her with her homework, the questions she received wrong when she gets her tests wrong, as well as explaining how to solve a particular problem. "See one, do one". I like show how to do an example, then i would like the student to do a similar example on their own.

I prefer a hands on method where I give the student examples and I watch as they work through them. This is especially true in Math. I have found the best way for a student to learn is to correct mistakes as they go. Through repition this will bring success. I have found over the course of my schoolwork that I excelled most in math. I would consider myself a strong candidate for your child's tutor in this subject. My hands-on approach teaches through a student's mistakes. I point out where the error occured, and then show how to correct it as we work through the problems. This+repitition=success. I am also a passionate musician, and I can teach bass guitar to beginner and intermediate level musicians.

Teaching style varies by student and by subject, and even varies according to my level of skill in the subject matter. I have been told that I make things that are confusing or hard to understand easy, and I love that 'I see' look in a student's eyes. As a student I was always helping my friends and brothers with their school work, especially math. While in graduate school working on my Masters degree I tutored for the athletic department and even tutored some of my classmates who were college professors working on their PhD's. I have been a college teacher for more than 5 years and started doing private tutoring over 2 years ago.
