I am currently a teacher at the Open Classroom in SLC. I have a full endorsement in Math. I have taught math for the last 3 years. I mostly teach grades 5-8. I also have an elementary degree so i also have taught all core subjects in 5th and 6th grade. I received my ESL endorsement through the SLC school district. I previously taught at Glendale Middle School where i taught a lot of ESL students. I love teaching and I love math.
I love teaching and I am really passionate about making sure that my students achieve a deeper meaning of a subject. I like to take time to work with kids and make sure that they really understand the meaning of certain concepts. When teaching math I like to work with lots of hands on materials and visual aids. I believe that all kids are capable of learning and achieving at the highest standards.

As a recent graduate of BYU in Business Management (finance emphasis) I have been able to show excellence in my own school work. I have a major GPA of 3.85 (including many Accounting and Finance classes) as well as receiving a 4.0 while taking the “finance core” classes. Receiving a score of “5” on both the Calculus AB and BC tests during high school prepared me for college. Previous tutoring includes training new workers for employment positions (including a customer service representative and a restaurant position). While serving a 2-year mission for the LDS church I was able to train other missionaries.
