As I mentioned above, I approach students according to their particular needs. Students show difficulties in different areas of ESL learning. For instance, there are students who struggle with grammar when others may have problems with listening, speaking or writing. As a teacher, I must assess my students’ needs in order to target a specific area which requires attention. I majored in Japanese language and literature and later earned a masters in TESOL from the College of New Rochelle.
