I have helped tutor many young students through the Pirate 21 program at my school (Berea Community) and can help with a wide range of academic and extra curricular needs, such as vocal training or a drama couch, as well as a core content tutor. As a 2010 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, I was very much driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education. I was President of our local Kentucky Education Association and Chair of our Student Government Association. I have earned two bachelor degrees, a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, which has enabled me to have a wide variety of experiences. I feel each child is unique, so their learning style is unique. I especially enjoy using the explorative method of teaching where the child is encourage to explore, examine, and discover with my assistance. I believe that each child has a gift and it is my job to discover where their strengths lie and to foster that strength and know where their weaknesses are and kindle their desire to make those stronger. I believe that every child can learn and achieve, but at their own rate and you have to instill a desire and love of learning in them and make them know they are worthy and capable of achieving what their heart desires.
