I have been an educator for almost 20 years. I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher and immediately fell in love with teaching children with special needs. Desiring to continue to teach, I finished a Master's degree which gave me the endorsements to teach K-12 children with special needs. I am presently a published author of children's books and have taught English and Social Studies from 2nd grade to 12th. Most of my students have had an assortment of disabilities from Emotional to Learning disorders with a quarter of them from juvenile hall. I studied English Literature at the undergraduate level as well as pre-law and worked in a criminal law firm for 12 years as a legal assistant and research attorney.
