Trigonometry is one of my top subjects! I have used trigonometry (correctly) in almost every engineering, drafting, and physics problem for the past four years and more. Trigonometry can be learned by anyone if taught correctly and the motivation is there.

My experience as a tutor began with my younger sister. When she was a sophomore, then later a junior, I taught her Algebra 2 and, later, Functions Statistics and Trigonometry. She passed both classes, remaining on the honor roll. My next tutoring experience was in tutoring my fifth-grade cousin. At the end of two months, he won the math award at his school. Since then, I have tutored students in College Algebra, High School Algebra, Basic Math, and Junior High Algebra. I have enjoyed this experience immensely and have seen positive results.
From my experience as a math student, I have seen that the best approach to teaching math is to make it highly step-by-step. My teaching style is highly logical, making sure the student understands the process for themselves. I can teach using words or pictures and adjust the pace according to the ability of the student.

If you have knowledge, let others light their candles at it.

Good teaching is about listening, questioning, being responsive, and remembering that each student and class is different. At the same time, it's about being human, respecting others, and being professional at all times.
I worked as a elementary teacher in Romania for about 13 years. I used to work differentiate and with a combination of classes. From the training I received, I learned methodics, how to teach math, science, physical education, arts, and develop other skills. I am patient and know child psychology. Don't want to substitute parents who have a great role in child development, I want to become the help and the friend of the kid, the friend who brings an alternative and new ideas in developing and performance.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching because I love passing on knowledge. I believe anyone can learn anything they want, it just takes us all different lengths of time and effort to achieve our educational goals. As a tutor and a TA I was always trying to rethink my presentation of the material when the students seemed confused. We all think about math in slightly different ways, so I was always trying to adapt my explanations to their style of thinking. I am patient, easy-going, friendly, and reliable. Also, if I don't know something, I will not make something up; I will go find out and report back to the student what I have learned.
I worked in the Math Department, as either a tutor or a Teaching Assistant, for the past three years. As a Teaching Assistant I led a 50 minute recitation of the material, graded materials, and kept records for my 30 students. As a tutor I helped MSU undergraduates lea ... read more

I have always been very interested in education and the pursuit of knowledge. I remember, at an early age, being the only child I knew who actually wanted to go to class every day. This thirst inspired me to excel in all of my courses, and to enroll in a prestigious university where I studied English Literature and Philosophy. While there, I took an interest in writing, both in process and result. I spent three years working as a University Writing Tutor. During that time, I honed both my grammatical and tutoring skills. I also worked as an editor at a prominent university magazine, which allowed me to interact with and advise many burgeoning writers. As a philosophy major, I worked extensively with younger students sharpening arguments and researching projects. Additionally, I spent several semesters volunteering at a local after-school daycare and tutoring service for elementary ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

Prior to graduating Suma Cume Laude in the School of Education at DePaul University, I served as a tutor, both through the school and privately. Levels ranged from first grade through college. Following graduation, I taught for 6 years in two metropolitan high schools. My favorite part about teaching is working with individual students, helping them find the best learning style for them, and helping them to achieve their goals.
I have a very flexible teaching style. The way one person learns will be different from another, therefore, the way you teach one person should be different from another. I am very patient, and will work at the pace of my student. Especially in mathematics, it does no good to move forward for the sake of keeping up. I am also very creative, and work to find new ways of helping my student master the material when they don't understand, instead of simpl ... read more

I truly believe that as an educator you must establish a connection with your students. This not only builds a great relationship, but also helps to develop a real understanding of your students and develop the best way to teach them through differentiation and accomodations. I have learned over the years that you can't teach all students in the same way, and I have become very good at altering my teaching style to best fit the needs of my students.
I have had many experiences in education both during and after my college education. I have been put into many situations that have required using much of the curriculum content, classroom management, and lesson plan developing skills that I have acquired. I have a major in science, but I also have extensive mathematical skills due to the many math classes I have taken for my BS and while currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Acco ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

A student does not benefit from having their teacher do their work. I find that modeling a concept once or twice suffices. After that, a student is best served by having their teacher guide their mental processes so that they become accustomed to the mode of thinking that either results in the correct answer (in a quantitative subject) or a strong, well-reasoned argument (in a qualitative one). Such guidance must be based on the individual student's interests and aptitudes.
In the past four years as an undergraduate, I tutored in virtually every area of my expertise: English, creative writing, mathematics, and physics. As a tutor in math and physics, I helped students understand both the theoretical concepts and the practical applications that they needed in order to thoroughly grasp the subject. In English and creative writing, I served as an editor on every scale, from helping st ... read more
