I went back to school to attain my masters degree in education in 2008, and finished student teaching in December of 2009. I try to involve as many senses as I can when illustrating new concepts and ideas. Math manipulatives are essential elements for early math comprehension. Whenever a game can help solidify ideas, it is utilized and learning is always fun. Children reach benchmarks, such as reading independently and math computation at different rates, so it's important to be consistent but very patient and encouraging. A solid reading foundation is the greatest gift our children can receive. Comprehension is a key factor to understanding any subject at all. I am a hands on teacher. I can verbally explain things and then i like to utilize different techniques to ensure the children understand what i am explaning.
