I love teaching because I myself am an avid learner. I have a passion for the subjects I teach and hope that I can instill this same passion in those I teach. I believe that every student can learn the information taught in class, it's more a matter of finding out how each individual student learns. When information is presented in the right way (for each individual), it can make all the difference. I have always loved to read and write, and my love of the written word is what led me to obtain both my BA and MA in British and American Literature. I had the opportunity to begin teaching at the College level when I was in my Master's program and continued teaching College Writing courses to Freshmen for two years after I graduated. After moving to Lincoln, Nebraska to begin work on my Ph.D. I started working at a Writing Center at a local Community College. My two years experience as a Writing Tutor has given me the wonderful opportunity to hone my skills as a tutor and teacher and to learn to help student's with varying needs; including, ESL, non-traditional adult students, and those with learning challenges.

My teaching style depends upon the student I am tutoring. I totally coach the student in a manor which best befits that student. Since no two students are alike, I do what is best for each individual person. A Little Bit About Me...

I worked with Special Ed kids with reading, writing, and math. I tutored my Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years of high school. I have most of my certifications in the medical field, but i also graduated High school a semester early and with enough credits to be a sophomore in college. I do prefer to work with elementary school kids, but would also work with middle school as well. I have been raised to know education is the most important thing in ones life. If i can help someone be more successful in school and give them the help they need to succeed that would be the ideal job.
