Before earning a BA in Biology at Skidmore College and after graduating high school, I took three years off to play hockey. Concurrently, I enrolled in classes at Mount Wachusett Community College in Massachusetts and tutored in the math department. I tutored students in algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and some calculus. At Skidmore I continued in math, taking calculus I, II, and III, and linear algebra before focusing my attention on molecular biology. I habitually studied with my classmates and I found great satisfaction helping others understand complex subject matter. The challenge to explain concepts in alternative ways in order to cater to different learning styles was enriching to my own understanding. A Little Bit About Me...

I attended SUNY Oneonta to attain a B.S. in Elementary Education. I had a concentration in General Science, so I have a broad knowledge-base of the subject. I am currently attending school to receive my Master's degree in Teaching Elementary Mathematics. While attending school, I peer tutored other students in Nutrition, Math, and History for 3 years.
