Being a residential intensive case manager was the most accomplished life-changing job experience that I have done at Salisbury Behavioral Health, Inc.’s Deaf Services Center based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This experience enriched my knowledge of the deaf individuals with mental illness and their highly demanding environment. As an Intensive Case Manager, I worked with individuals who possess a wide variety of behavioral health disorders and mental illness, in addition to being Deaf and Deaf-Blind and communicate with individuals through American Sign Language. Being an intensive case manager has its advantage. I am currently a senior at Sherando High School in Stephens City, VA. I have always been and A and B student. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and received a 1300 on my SATs. I have taken Honors World History I and II, I have taken College Prep English 11 and am currently in College Prep English 12. I am in my high school’s Marching band and Symphonic band; I play the clarinet and bass clarinet, and have been in band for 7 years.
