I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Psychology in Educational Leadership (projected graduation 10/2015) at University of the Rockies. I have a total of thirteen years in the business industry, including eight years in financial services, four years running my own businesses. Let the young teach the young

Even though I am young, I do know how to convey teaching skills with the "up-to-date" mind set of today's generation. The main experience I have is helping fellow school mates and family with the problems they are having with school work. I did finish high school with a diploma. I have been to many schools and have had many teachers. I have been able to learn many techniques of solving a single problem.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a retired trial lawyer from the State of Maryland. My career as a trial lawyer spanned 26 years and included hundreds of jury and non-jury trials in State and Federal Courts.I am still a member of the Washington D.C. Bar.My writing experience includes hundreds of motions and dozens of briefs.I have taught some college level courses in the Criminal Justice area. I taught ESL in South Korea for two months. I have taught Reading and Essay writing for a year. I also teach ACT Test preparation for these subjects At present I am tutoring several students.
I enjoy teaching and working with all children. I believe that virtually all children can learn with the proper motivation and encouragement. Teaching is a dream job since you get to directly see the results of your work. You can watch your students improve in front of your eyes and this is a result of your motivational skills. The students do the work but you are the one who reaches their inner core to pull out their ability to achieve. For each student you must find what motivates them and press those buttons. My role is to get students to believe in themselves and then to guide them through the process of education. Positive reinforcement is the key to their success. Frequently they were never given that opportunity. I make them believe in themselves and make learning fun at the same time.
