I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Psychology in Educational Leadership (projected graduation 10/2015) at University of the Rockies. I have a total of thirteen years in the business industry, including eight years in financial services, four years running my own businesses. I have been a team mentor and leader, regional mentor, trainer, and for the past 2 ½ years I have been an instructor and tutor at a local college. I am always researching and learning new ways to interact with my students and motivate them towards reaching their full learning potential. Every person is different and requires a unique style for learning. I have used many different styles in my experiences, and I tend to use the one that works the best for that individual. Some are visual learners while others need to learn by trial and error. I am easy going, flexible, and patient. I believe all children can meet their potential if they are granted the necessary experiences and surroundings.
I have graduated from Iowa State University with a major in Finance and minor in Statistics. I have a strong background in math and have taken up to Calculus II. I have experience tutoring Calculus and Statistics at the college level for five semesters. Working with students is something I really enjoy.
