A Little Bit About Me...

I studied post secondary in high school and graduated in the top ten of my class. I was on the deans list every year of my college career. I was a teachers aid at the University of Minnesota for three years in the anatomy department. I was a the lead embalmer for the University and worked for the Anatomy bequest program. I was licensed in mortuary science in 2007 and have been working as a funeral director and Retail manager for the past three years.
I believe that the purpose of tutoring is to help students help themselves, or to assist or guide them to the point at which they become an independent learner. Since graduating in 1999 from the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis with a Masters in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration, I have worked extensively in Accounting Management and administration. I am very knowledgeable in the full-cycle accounting functions necessary to hold a job as an Accounting Manager, Staff Accountant, Accountant, and Bookkeeper. I have learned many Accounting Software packages and can produce and analyze financial statements. I am scheduled to take one section of the CPA exam this month with the goal of taking the other three parts within the next 18 months.
