I have Algebra One and the Principles of Physics. In a small private school, there were two students who were failing at the end of the semester. With the permission of the headmaster and the parents, I gave each of them a grade of "Incomplete" and then tutored them through the Summer until they could each pass the final exam. They both earned B- grades and, more importantly, succeeded in Algebra Two.

Students need to realize that there are no pointless or forgettable sections. Basically, communication is key followed by practice, reinforcement, more practice. Learning can be at pace, but laziness and whining will not be tolerated.
