My teaching style is simply and varies from student to student. I am a visual learner, once I see an example done; I try to use what I’ve learned to solve a similar problem. Some people don't learn that way, I try to pick up on the student’s best learning style (whether it’s by doing example problems, talking them out, or guiding them through their own examples) I can focus my help to try to suit them. I love teaching students and helping them understand and enjoy science. I believe that all students can learn science; some just have great fears that need to be overcome. To overcome these fears often one-on-one help is required to assess the fears and make the student feel confident in their ability. I have loved Chemistry ever since I was in high school. I continued on to pursue my BS in Chemistry and learned a lot, not only in that field, but also in many areas of math as well. I have continued on in my education and am currently in the final year of my PhD, studying Polymer Science. During the last 3-4 yrs, I have tutored students mainly in Chemistry, both at the high school and college level.
My main goal is to try and make the subject as much fun and easy to understand as possible. I never give away answers and instead try to lead the student toward the answer, giving them the chance to figure it out as we go along. I try to break more complex ideas down into concepts that are easier to understand. I often tell students that Chemistry is not as scary as some people say, it just needs to be explained properly.

After graduating with my undergraduate degree early, I unexpectedly found a passion for teaching. Currently, I am working towards my masters degree, MS, in biology.
