I have recently graduated from Purchase College with an Undergraduate degree in Music with a minor in English. During School I tutored students in English composition and edited students essays and papers during the entirety of my undergraduate education. I have also taught voice and music theory to students privately. In High-school I scored a 97 percent out of 100 on the English regents exam. I recently received a full scholarship to complete my masters at the University of Maryland.

Children love to learn and feel a sense of accomplishment and self-worth when they are successful. I greatly enjoy helping children learn. Each child has the capacity to learn and it is the teachers job to present the material in a manner which is conductive to the child’s understanding. Providing tools to help each student comprehend the material is essential. A Little Bit About Me...

I loved teaching! I think I retired too early because I miss the every day challenges and excitement teaching gives! I have been trained in 4Mat and Gardners Multiple Intelligences. I firmly believe "every child can learn" as long as you teach to their learning style. My daughter is following in my foot steps and will start her first teaching job in September.
