My comments on tutoring Reading : One way to encourage my students to read more is to make reading relevant. I often review what they are reading in class and connect the material to pop culture, sports, or current events so the material becomes relevant.

My career as a teacher has taught me the importance of extending learning beyond the classroom. A lot of my time is spent babysitting, and while doing that I have helped several of the kids out with homework.
