I'm a German American who was born and raised in the US, but studied in both countries. I've studied German at the University, completed an intensive language course in Bamberg, and passed the final language examination for university acceptance. Hands on, Practice based, through step by step instruction. Visual learning whenever applicable. Geometry, algebra, physics, and some calculus are in my range of teaching. I am very patient as long as the student is trying to learn and cares about the work. Mental support of students is half the battle.

As a private tutor, I give lessons to students whose ages range from thirteen to adult, and whose level varies from beginner to advanced. I teach mostly conversational, and as we progress, I introduce basic grammar. After completing a year as a teacher I realized that what I liked about teaching is the actual teaching part. Unfortunately for me, most of what was involved with being a teacher for me included tasks other than teaching, which was not what I had expected. I do very well with 1-on-1 tutoring and small group tutoring. The 11-15 age group is what I am especially interested in, but I have had experience with all ages from 4-25 years old.
