A Little Bit About Me...

Over the last 4-6 years I've had to teach coworkers the intricacies of engine technology (basic hydrocarbon breakdown and nitrogen depleting systems) to basic geometry and electrical circuits ( from creating concentric bends in pipe to large scale automated systems). I have not taught english to an 11th grader in a public school, but I make it a fact to learn everyday and spread the knowledge to whomever i come into contact with and is willing to learn. I have recently been studying and implementing hydrogen generating systems and the effects of injecting it into internal combustion engines.
I believe teaching is best learned though practical examples (especially math). because I used to say the same thing that I'm sure that kids today are saying. A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children and feel that is my God given talent. I believe that all children can and will learn with the proper time given to them. All children learn differently. As a teacher you have to work on the best way to teach that child. I feel that tutoring you have the full attention of the child. By working one on one the child will benefit greatly.
I have been working with elementary children for 19 years. I have expericence as a Title 1 Teacher Assistant, Special Education aide, Substitute teacher and Sunday school teacher. I have tutored in reading and math. I am currently attending Ashford University to complete my Early Childhood degree in 2012. I will then continue to get my degree in Special Education.

A Little Bit About Me...

I grew up with both partents in the public education system, I was a student-teacher in H.S. and I earned a bachelor degree in Parks, Recreation, Natural Resource Management with a minor in Art Education. After graduation I taught Art and pre-school classes for the Springfield, MO Parks Dept. I was a librarian at the Springfield Art Museum. I worked for the Dept. of Social Services, Div. of Youth Services for 14 years and assisted the teachers with the education ciriculum. I taught Outdoor Stress Challenge Programs to the youth in a rehabilitation program.
I enjoy teaching and working with children. I believe every child has a different way of learning and I am capable of meeting the needs of each student. Having graduated with a degree in elementary education, I have learned the variety of students' learning styles and know how to target each child's unique style of learning. With a strong background in reading, English, and history throughout high school and college courses, I have been able to use engaging activities and multiple strategies to tutor and teach others. Foreign languages come easy to me as well, and I have particular interest in German and Spanish. When I volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club during college, I spent one-on-one time with students who needed help with their homework and thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
