It seems that ever since I can remember I have been a person that people go to for help. At a young age I would be place with students that were struggling . I feel that this began my career path to becoming a teacher. When I attended Jr College I worked as a tutor for those students that struggled in math. During my education to become a teacher I started working at a group home facility for adolescents. Inevitably , they were usually behind in their studies at school. It was part of my job to help them in their day to day lives and studies. Whereas I helped the students in all area I feel that my strongest areas were Science and Math.
As an educator I love to see "light bulb" moments, that moment where a student "gets it". The look on their face is priceless. I feel that in order to see these moments one has to understand that each student does not learn the same. Some ... read more
