Excellent, Engish-1st-Language Math, Science & Music teacher

I have been teaching math at the college level for the past 10 years. I have taught pre-algebra, intro to algebra, college algebra, pre-calculus and calculus I at various local universities. At DeVry, the focus was on individual instruction, giving me years of experience helping students one-on-one. Prior to that I earned my Secondary Math Education certification at the University of Toledo where I student taught various classes at a Toledo public high school. I believe that every child is unique and needs to have a teaching style unique to them
I have been doing something in music for 30 years. I have a B.A in music from Wright State University which I obtained in 2003. I also have 6 years of private music instruction on various instruments. I have played in several different groups consisting of a wide range of music. I have classical training but I also know how to teach rock, pop, jazz and metal on certain instruments

A Little Bit About Me...

My goal is to help each child learn as much as possible but at the same time enjoy learning. Children need lots of love and attention. I rely on God's wisdom and strength every day because each day is a new experience or a new situation. I use games to help students learn. I pray for my students that God will help them enjoy learning.
I taught in the inner city of Pittsburgh as reading tutor. In Columbus I taught music, reading, special education, and all other subjects from Preschool through high school. I tutored Whitehall high school students in their homes. I enjoyed teaching almost every day in different school districts for years. I have a masters degree in school counseling which has enabled me to understand the needs of most students.
