I taught a collegiate level graphic design course to intermediate and advanced students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Typography, digital design, and consistency within design were emphasized. I have led several small groups of teenagers and young adults in Biblical studies at Prairie Hill Evangelical Free Church, several musical groups in practicing and performing, and a summer-long book club at Crown College. In gaining my Associate of Arts degree from Crown College, I also led many study groups on subjects ranging from Chemistry to Physics, English Literature to Creative Writing.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved French and have studied the language consistently since middle school. Now, with a completed French minor, I have the confidence and ability to assist other students with language learning. I recently returned from a 4-month study abroad in France, where complete language immersion and intensive language classes greatly increased my comprehension and vocabulary. I also taught French at an elementary school during my freshman year of college.
It is incredibly rewarding to me to see people learn something new. Thus, I make sure the student understands the concept before we move on to a new topic. I understand that people learn at different rates and in different ways, so during one-on-one teaching I try to be sensitive to my student's styles and habits.
