A Little Bit About Me...

I do not have a definitive teaching style. When teaching someone, I usually try to adapt to their learning style, and if they do not have a strategy that works, I help them develop a good learning style and get comfortable with it. I like to think I make learning difficult things more fun and approachable.
I absolutely love performing and any aspect of theatre. I love learning and growing in my theatre knowledge and experiences. I have been performing in some way my whole world and love to share my passion with others. I also love English and Shakespeare; obviously these both go hand in hand with theatre!

I have provided knowledge from the outside professional work froce in which I have givin direction obtained in real life situations in decission making and executing and reaching potential goals in the work arena. I have also shown the prblem solving skills in the classroom to be a proven track to the experience in the day to day assignments expected to achieve in a professional position.
I would prepare the student to advance his or her knowledge to be able to tackle the professional potential in the reality work force, or next level of learning. I believe any- one with the right motivation can reach they're potential with the proper tools being taught as well as the right environment.

Because I enjoy the learning environment and have been in one for 16 years, I have learned much about it. Everyone learns differently, and I feel that it is important to understand the student's easiest way to learn in order to proceed. I believe offering students the chance to use their imagination and to encourage creativity is the best approach to education. Being a current student myself, I can appreciate the hardships and struggles of education. I feel that you must always level with your students, no matter what the age. The students are the ones who must lead the class. However, we as educators have a duty to guide and to nourish this idea. We must be leaders who encourage a positive and productive learning environment, while also maintaining an enjoyable experience. I believe in a split between communicative and explicit teaching. Students are given input through examples and other meaningful activities. They then are encouraged to attempt their own output through group work, homework, or discussion. At this point, students are prepared to solidify their learning with charts, graphs, mnemonic devices, and/or questions/answer sessions.
