A Little Bit About Me...

As a mentor and tutor I have a very hands on style of teaching. I challenge my students with the Upward Bound Program to think outside the norms of their traditional boundaries. I encourage a diverse mind frame and point of view for various subject. Most of all I want my students to see their studies in everyday life and understand how each subject applies on a person level. My teaching style as well is always open and my doors and time is always devoted to those I teach so that their understanding of a subject is not limited to only the work load I present, but questions they present to me as a teacher.

Because education on all levels teaches higher levels of thinking it is very important to have great respect for others academic percepts while maintaining ones personal believe ( While with Upward Bound the students attended my classes attentively and I had to be moved to a bigger room to hold the sessions. I was honored by their willingness to be ACTIVELY INVOLVED with my classes because I encouraged each student to be passionate about his/her future.
