My comments on tutoring Violin : I played violin for seven years in school and private lessons.

I am a second year student at the Universtiy of Georgia. I taught private violin lessons to middle schoolers from the fall of 2010 through the summer of 2011, and I myself have received seven years of private instruction. I have experienced numerous auditions, concerts, and other performances, as well as traveled with my high school chamber orchestra to Washington, D.C. and Savannah, Georgia. During the summer of 2012, I tutored Korean adults in the mechanics of English, including proper pronunciation, grammar, and conversational phrases. As for the other subject areas, I have taken many classes throughout grade school and now college that have provided me with a solid foundation in them.

I am proficient as a teacher and performer on the violin, viola, and cello. I was placed first stand in the Kendall Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Gwinnett County Youth Symphony Orchestra, and in the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra. I also played viola in the 2009 and 2010 All-State Orchestras. Currently I play violin in the Georgia State University Orchestra, I perform composer's new works in the Atlanta area, and I also enjoy playing in contemporary worship bands. I am a sectional coach for Couch Middle School and I have been teaching privately for over five years now. As a special education major and history minor, I have learned so much about helping children succeed. I am currently working toward my bachelors degree at Brenau University. This has enabled me to do various field experiences and an internship that deals with children of various ages. I have worked with all subjects from grades K-12. I have a social studies concentration with my major.
