I have a bachelors degree with duel majors in both psychology and sociology. I began working with children who were diagnosed with autism my first year of college (I did this for 7 years). I felt a sense of accomplishment as I watched them grow as people. I realized through these experiences that I wanted to help people learn and become accomplished. Later, I decided to student teach in graduate school. I taught three different writing courses over three years, including this past year as a part-time instructor. During my master's program for educational psychology, I realized that I had to teach and work with children who had identified needs. In the middle of completing my Master's, I began teaching Special Education in an inner-city middle school.
