I am currently a paid tutor at Montlake Elementary School, assisting with language arts and math - at all levels. I have a secondary school teaching credential, and I taught English, reading, and ESL. As a lawyer, I have excellent writing skills especially in organization and editing. I love being in the classroom and helping students learn. When I am not in the classroom, I am a volunteer tutor (New Holly) assisting in math and reading. I have taught ESL in a variety of environments and do well with cross-cultural challenges. I am patient, considerate, and teach with a style that makes a student feel good about himself/herself. I love helping and teaching children. I have given riding lessons to all ages of children for years, realizing there is no better feeling than helping children accomplish their goals. I would love to help children in any way I can to meet their academic goals, I know what it is like to have to study hard for what you want to accomplish. Being 25 I feel, and just being a graduate myself, I think can be a way to relate to the children and what they are trying to achieve.
