I am an educator with 27 years of experience. I have both taught and tutored grades K-12. I have a special needs, vocational, and assessment background. I love teaching and working with students. I am very patient, easy-going, and encouraging. My teaching approach is creative and imaginative. I use methods to make lessons fun and enjoyable. I believe in using "the whole language approach," which helps to reinforce several skills at the same time. I am able to communicate my thoughts and ideas very clearly. My philosophy is that any subject can be learned, if it's presented in the correct way.
I use a creative, hands-on teaching style. I break things down and present them in simple sequence, so students don't become overwhelmed. I am very patient. I try to incorporate fun, imagination, and creativity into learning activities.

As the daughter of an illerate parent, I have learned the value of being able to read and that of an education. My education is the second most important thing to me. I am the single mother of two children, in order to support them while attaining my degree I cleaned houses. This experience only solidified , in my mind, the importance of education. While pursuing my degree in English, I learned how to communicate my thoughts through writing and researching for various papers in different subjects.
