My comments on tutoring GED : For the past 10 years, I've been a licensed teacher in private vocational schools. I have an associate degree in electro-mechanical technology and 25 years of industrial experience. Many years ago, I earned a GED diploma. As a teacher, I have helped students who had trouble with basic reading and math skills that the new TASC high school diploma test requires.

Before anything else, I have to find out exactly where the student's weaknesses are. There's certainly no point teaching someone what they already know! I have a laid back, step by step method of teaching. I like to thoroughly cover basics and then work up to more advanced topics.
