I believe that anyone can learn anything as long as they're willing to learn and put an effort to do so. What is different is that some people have more ability than other to learn certain tasks, but eventually, everyone can learn. My comments on tutoring Elementary Vocabulary : Learning and using new words can be fun.

In groups large or small I have always individualized instruction. I get to know each student's interests and abilities, then build on the abilities using the interests. I believe students learn better when they find activities interesting and fun. I have had students come up to me in a hall years later saying remember when we did ... I find or make games and activities so students can learn while enjoying. I also use patterns and any short cut tricks such as number patterns and phonics to make learning easier.
I have taught full time in public and Catholic schools for 10 years. I taught part time as substitute, long term (months to full semesters or more), tutoring for 16years.
