A Little Bit About Me...

I love being able to teach someone something new. I love learning, but have always been a visual learner, so whether I'm teaching someone how to read, or simply helping them improve their reading skills, I introduce visual aids. I am patient, easy going and a great listener. When it comes to teaching/tutoring/mentoring, I have always been very hands on. I strive to create an environment where the pupil feels comfortable and he or she is excited to learn.
I graduated Cum Laude from Manhattan College with a double major in Psychology and Communications. In addition to studying for two majors, I was also a Division 1 athlete and held 2 jobs. A Little Bit About Me...

I approach teaching on an individual level. Not everyone can learn the oboe or flute in the same approach. This is why one must utilize various teaching techniques to best fit each student. I also believe in making the learning enjoyable, yet valuable to the student. Any performing musician should have a theoretical and historical knowledge of the music they are playing. This will provide the student with the proper style in which to perform the piece and convey it's true potential as an art form.
