I have been teaching ASL (in colleges and high schools), teaching History and Reading courses to Deaf teenagers in ASL, and interpreting between American Sign Language and spoken English professionally for nearly 25 years! I am currently the only hearing teacher in my department. I spend a larger percentage of my day "speaking" ASL than English! I have tutored through the organization Literacy Volunteers in Flagstaff and Lake Havasu. Additionally, I tutored English in a refugee camp in Zambia, when I was with the Peace Corps.
