Drawing is one of my top subjects!

I am graduating high school this year and I am the oldest of three children. My sister is in first grade and my brother is in PreK. After school we come home and work on homework and sight words. I have babysat family friends and neighbors for three years now. I completed two years of Early Childhood Education classes with a built-in VPK. In this program, we designed and taught our own lesson plans for the children in VPK. I have experience working with children ages 3-5 and teaching science, social studies and math skills. I am also certified in CPR.
I am patient and treat kids with the same respect I am given. since I am young, I believe teaching kids will be easier because I can understand any troubles they may be having and the material is fresh in my head.

I am a graphic designer with a high level of expertise in motion graphics, print design, branding and identity, and web design. I have worked for a marketing company the last few years as a motion and graphic designer and recently for a design agency designing material for various different clients. I am also a drummer and musician, and an artist.
I like to be hands on in my teaching technique and have you do the assignments with some supplemental knowledge given to you as you do it. I possess a very eclectic and kinesthetic teaching style. I believe that children learn best when as many senses as possible are used in teaching them. When a child sees, hears, touches, smells, and sometimes tastes what they are learning, their brains are using multiple connections to hardwire whatever you are trying to teach them, therefore they will be more apt to remember than if taught by rote. I also believe that it's necessary to think about their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social well-being while they are learning. Children need to move. They will not retain as much information if they are not given breaks in routine at least every 15 to 20 minutes.
